In his speech, Prof. Dr. Rwigamba Balinda began by expressing gratitude to Almighty God, and extended appreciation to the national leadership led by His Excellency President Paul Kagame, as well as to his wife, children, and other stakeholders for their continued support, protection, guidance, and advice throughout his journey.
He shared an inspiring account of his academic journey and the founding of ULK, emphasizing the importance of serving society rather than seeking personal gain. “Let us work hard not for our personal benefits, but for the benefit of society,” he encouraged the audience, urging them to embrace service, vision, and resilience.
Newly installed President Peter Malinga, in his address, echoed themes of unity, integrity, and service, setting a collaborative tone for the Rotary Club’s activities in the coming year.
ULK celebrates the recognition of its founder’s legacy and extends warm congratulations to both Prof. Dr. Rwigamba Balinda and President Peter Malinga. The university remains deeply committed to advancing leadership, education, and civic responsibility.
